SUMMARY:2025 AUSTRALIA DAY CELEBRATION
DESCRIPTION:Jane Rutter will visit Inverell\, NSW\, as Australia Day Ambassador on 26 January 2025.\nThe free celebrations at Victoria Park will include entertainment by the Inverell Singers\, Sapphire City Concert Band and Danthonia Youth Choir\, flag raising ceremony\, along with a BBQ Breakfast cooked by Macintyre Lions Club for a gold coin donation.\nFollowing the Community Breakfast\, Jane will present awards at the Awards and Citizenship Ceremony.\nThe official ceremony commences at 8.15 am with speeches\, an award presentation for Young Citizen and Citizen of the Year\, and a Citizenship Ceremony will be held. Entertainment will be provided by local talent.\nSix community members have been nominated for Inverell Shire’s Australia Day Citizen of the Year Award: Allison Lane\, Garry Newley\, Graham Kerridge\, Ken Middleton\, Lorraine Brown and Terri Smith have been recognised for their commitment and dedication to the Inverell Shire.
