For the final ever Peninsula Music Club concert, three of Australia’s most distinguished, cherished musicians—flautist and artistic director Jane Rutter, pianist Tamara-Anna Cislowska, and composer Elena Kats-Chernin—join forces in Ancient Letters: a spellbinding journey through time, reimagining some of the world’s most fascinating written exchanges, from the earliest known letter by a young Uzbek woman to intimate reflections by Bach, Schubert, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Colette, Ravel, and Jane Austen.

In this luminous finale—after acclaimed solo and duo performances—the trio celebrates the legacy of Peninsula Music Club with great works from the masters including Kats-Chernin’s evocative original work Ancient Letters, interwoven with music inspired by her greatest influences, including Tchaikovsky and Michel Legrand.
