The Soirée includes French Baroque, French Gregorian Chant, Tangos, and pieces by Piaf, Aznavour, Poulenc, Claude Bolling, Michel Legrand, Debussy, Chopin, Mancini (Victor Victoria), Cole Porter & more. Accompanied by Virtuoso accordionist and jazz pianist, Marcello Maio, don’t miss the opportunity to experience the sensuality and brilliance of the legendary Jane Rutter playing six different flutes (including an 1887 Louis Lot – the Stradavarius of the flute) in an exclusive, intimate evening. (‘Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters’ is a French award of recognition for significant contributions to Arts & Literature). Using French poetry and her own anecdotes, Jane tells the tales of artists who used Paris to form their ‘artistic personalities’. An Australian in Paris includes the legacy of the Rampal Flute School and the company of Picasso, Baudelaire, Verlaine, Colette, Josephine Baker, Janet Flanner and Gertrude Stein. La Rêvolution: La Musique des Rêves (The Music of Dreams) Jane Rutter & Friends
Artistic Director flutist Jane Rutter (with special Opera Star guests) celebrates La France in La Rêvolution. A small Parisian-style ensemble performs delicious French classical arias, chansons, tangos and Salon pieces. La Rêvolution transports audiences with a seductive musical program: Edith Piaf, Canteloube’s Chants D’auvergne (chamber arrangement), Offenbach, Cole Porter, Delibes, Fauré, Ravel and Bizet. Virtuoso accordionist Marcello Maio adds a bohemian touch to the evening. With her intimate knowledge of France Jane Rutter and er friends convey elegance, sensuality and passion, and the deep love affair France has with vocal music.
