Live at Lunch proudly returns for its 12th year with performances taking place in the superb Concert Hall of The Concourse, Chatswood, Sydney Australia.
Internationally acclaimed flutist, Jane Rutter, curates the series as Artistic director, bringing together internationally renowned musicians and national musical heroes.
Jane Rutter has been Artistic Director of Live at Lunch since its inception in 2013. An Australian success story, Live at Lunch has provided fine music of the highest calibre combined with an element of social inclusion to the Greater Sydney region for the past decade. (Delightful that audience members can dine with the musicians after the concert).
Jane Rutter is one of the most outstanding musical personalities in Australia. Knighted by France (Chevalier des Arts et Lettres) in recognition of her services to music and the arts, Jane is a classical trailblazer, and household name in Australia. Her career is devoted to the development of classical and fine music across many musical genres, providing accessibility of high quality music to a broader public and household name in Australia, Jane has devoted her life to pushing the boundaries of French flute playing and expanding classical and fine music repertoire across musical genres.

Brilliant Bass Baritone Teddy Tahu Rhodes and internationally acclaimed flutist Jane Rutter in a musical celebration with works by Rossini, Schubert, Mozart, Handel, and Rogers and Hammerstein. Featuring Jane’s beautiful classical and world flutes, fifes and whistles, Teddy sings Celtic and English Folksongs and best-loved Arias. The duo also pays homage to famed Australian Baritone Peter Dawson with Australian favourites.

Bach, Bolero & a Beautiful World: Third Culture World Chamber Music. Third Culture’s music is a ‘cultural treasure vase’ which blends classical chamber music, original Australian compositions, and new settings of traditional music from all corners of the globe. Using the transformative powers of music to unify and inspire, the group joyfully merges classical, jazz, and world folk music. Chinese Redgrass music and Indian Bollywood meet classical chamber music, plus new takes on Ravel’s Bolero, Bach & Vivaldi. Meditative & rhythmic music for flute, guitar, Chinese banjo, cello, double bass, tabla and vibraphone to delight and transport you!
Pan and the Angels Harpist Louise Johnson (Former Principal Harp, Sydney Symphony Orchestra) joins flutist Jane Rutter in a rêverie of summer and romance, including Debussy’s L’après-midi d’un faune, and evocative (and angelic) works by Bizet, Saint-Saëns, Massenet, Donizetti and others.
